Repeal 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Petition
The US military’s current “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy unfairly condemns homosexuality. As a result, enlisted gays are isolated from their comrades and potential gay recruits are discouraged from joining. While I don’t support miltarism, gays should be treated the same as heterosexuals in the military, which is supposed to protect and respresent the ALL US citizens, regardless of sexual orientation. Sign the petition (linked above) to promote equality. Also check out Change.org (where it’s hosted), a great site for activism.3 months ago • 0 notes
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma —which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

I come across this quote every once in awhile. I wrote it down at one point a couple years ago and I have it inside my datebook (which goes everywhere with me).
It is spot on, and I remind myself to live from my own heart and my own mind every single day.

PRAYER MOON A woman sat with her paralyzed child, half-buried in sand, on the bank of the Indus River before a solar eclipse in Hyderabad, Pakistan, Wednesday. Some Pakistanis buried their children, believing that the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century would heal them. (Photo: Yousuf Nagori/AFP-Getty via the Wall St. Journal)3 months ago • 3 notes
